California Humanities
An independent non-profit partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities, California Humanities was founded in 1975 as a granting organization and has grown and evolved over the years. California Humanities promotes the humanities as relevant, meaningful ways to understand the human condition and connect us to each other in order to become a better California.
California Humanities produces, fund, creates, and supports humanities-based projects and programs, eye-opening cultural experiences, and meaningful conversations. Our audience is as diverse as the 38 million people from every corner of the globe that make up our state. To learn more about the wide range of projects we support, please visit us at calhum.org.
