Las Guerreras

Comida costeña from Guerrero, Mexico · Family-owned & women-led

Las Guerreras is a family-owned, women-led restaurant serving the recipes they grew up with in Guerrero, Mexico: traditional tamales, pozole, barbacoa and more. Founded by Ofelia Barajas and her daughter Reyna Maldonado, Las Guerreras serves comida costeña, the coastal cooking of Zihuatanejo and the Costa Grande region. It’s inspired by the family’s rancho roots and by their great-grandmother’s cevichería on the coast.

They are participants of La Cocina, the San Francisco incubator that supports women and immigrant food entrepreneurs. Beyond the restaurant, Las Guerreras caters events of every size. Their goal is to bring people together for good conversation and community, with love served on every plate.
